Our Botanical Ingredient Philosophy

Botanical ingredients are central to Snuzhat Care, but we use the word botanical carefully. A well-made skincare formula is more than a collection of plant extracts—it is a balanced system designed for the product’s purpose, texture, stability and safe everyday use.

What we mean by botanical care

Depending on the formula, we may work with botanical oils and butters, hydrosols, plant extracts, clays and other plant-derived ingredients chosen for their sensory qualities and their role within the product.

Every ingredient has a job

We also use functional ingredients when a formula needs them, such as emulsifiers to bring oil and water together, humectants to support hydration, surfactants for cleansing, thickeners for texture and preservatives for water-based products.

We do not believe that “natural” automatically means better, or that a long botanical ingredient list automatically makes a better product. Our goal is to choose ingredients deliberately and use them at appropriate levels.

Selected for the formula—not for trends

Each product is built around what it needs to do and how we want it to feel on the skin. That means different Snuzhat Care products may use different botanical ingredients and different supporting ingredients.
